Prescriptive Authority in Delaware

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses may apply for prescriptive authority for Schedule II-V drugs in collaboration with a physician. Coursework in advanced health assessment, diagnosis of management and problems within your clinical specialty, advanced pathophysiology, and advanced pharmacology is required. Additional continuing education in pharmacology may also be required depending on your specialty.

Delaware Nursing Licensure Renewal

Nurses should look for continuing education accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or approved by the Delaware Board of Nursing. Continuing education units (CEUs) are offered through employee education departments and CEU companies with online and printed CEU materials.
